Hasan Bakhsi and David Throsby are the authors of the research on culture and innovation, published by NESTA, a British organization that seeks to strengthen the UK’s innovation capacity.
Entitled "Culture of Innovation. An economic analysis of innovation in arts and cultural organisations", the research used the National Theatre and Tate Liverpool as case studies, and it describes the rich ways in which arts and cultural organisations innovate in audience reach, push out artistic frontiers and create economic and cultural value.
