Liverpools ökonomische Erfahrungen als "Kulturhauptstadt Europa"
Apr 28, 2010 - AKTUELLE NACHRICHT
Eine Fünfjahresstudie zu den sozialen, kulturellen und ökonomischen Effekten einer europäischen Kulturhauptstadt am Beispiel Liverpool wurde von der University of Liverpool vorgelegt.
Dazu die Ankündigung:
The University of Liverpool and the John Moores University have carried out a five-year joint-research programme to assess the impact of Liverpool, European Capital of Culture 2008 on the city, the wider region and its citizens. This project, called "Impacts 08", was developed on behalf of Municipality of Liverpool; its conclusions are now available in the final report prepared by Beatriz Garcia, Ruth Melville and Tamsin Cox. The research has sought to go beyond quantitative indicators, such as job creation or growth in tourism, and take into account the experience of residents.
A model for evaluating the multiple impacts of culture-led regeneration programmes was developed that can be applied to events across the UK and internationally.
